Mr. Watson joined Crease Harman & Company in 2002 to complete his articles and has remained as an associate with the firm since his call to the bar in 2003.  His preferred areas of practice include general civil litigation, employment law, insurance litigation and personal injury law, including motor vehicle accident and medical malpractice cases.  He has conducted trials in BC Provincial Court and BC Supreme Court, and has experience preparing cases for consideration by the BC Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.

 

Mr. Watson also has a growing solicitor’s practice in the areas of wills & estates, real estate conveyancing, real estate development, buying and selling small businesses, commercial leasing, and small business incorporation.  He is the past Chair & Treasurer of the Canadian Bar Association Wills & Trusts Victoria Subsection, and has attended meetings of the National Executive in that capacity.

 

A Victoria native, Mr. Watson grew up and attended high school on the Saanich Peninsula prior to earning a Bachelor of Arts degree (with Distinction) in 1998 and subsequently a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Victoria in 2002. 

 

Mr. Watson has conducted presentations for the public in the areas of employment law and real estate topics for first-time homebuyers.  He is an active member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Victoria Bar Association. 

 

Mr. Watson was recently appointed member of the Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunal for the Region of Victoria.
