Lindley Crease founded his own firm in 1891 along with Frederick Fowkes as the managing clerk. The firm was located in the Temple Building on 16 Chancery Lane, Victoria, British Columbia. In 1909 Frederick Fowkes was called to the Bar and became a partner in the firm the following year.
